TIL a guy at the Staples in Reno unplugged my USB drive and told me why before I could stop him
I was printing return labels at the Staples on South Virginia in Reno when I left my USB drive in the display laptop, walked off, and came back two minutes later. An employee had already pulled it and set it on the counter, and he told me he does it about 10 times a week because people keep plugging drives into random public machines. I had been doing that for years, especially at hotel business centers and airports, without thinking twice. Now I only use a cheap burner drive for printing, or better yet, I email the file to the store's print address and never touch a port. Does anyone have a cleaner way to print stuff at a copy shop without risking a drive or typing a password into someone else's computer?
