Shoutout to the strip mall dentist in Mesa who showed me his autoclave bag log without me asking
I was at a walk-in clinic off Southern Ave in Mesa last Tuesday for a chipped molar, and while I waited I could see straight into the back room. The assistant pulled a sealed autoclave pouch out of the bin and wrote the date and a little checkmark on it before the dentist even touched it. Compare that to the place I went to in Phoenix two years ago where the tray just sat out on the counter with no bag and no date on it. The Mesa guy charged me $95 for the whole visit and never once tried to sell me a deep cleaning package. Is it weird that I judge a dental office way more by their sterilization habits than by how nice the waiting room couch is?

Wait, are we supposed to know what an autoclave bag log is? Because I had to google it and now I'm side-eyeing every dentist I've ever been to. My last guy had a fish tank and a leather couch, so I'm guessing his sterilization game was probably trash.
