Spent a month in Medellin and the cafe work culture is getting weirdly competitive.
I saw three separate people get into quiet arguments over power outlets at Pergamino last Tuesday, which feels like a new level of tension for a shared workspace.

The outlet hunger games have begun.

I once did a full lap of that place with my laptop at 2% battery, looking like a total vulture.

Honestly, the real problem is the cafe's layout. They put all the good seats with outlets in one corner, so it's a traffic jam of stressed people. It creates this weird pressure cooker where everyone is eyeing the same two tables. They should just add a few more power strips along the main wall.

Remember that time at the library? They had one outlet near the water fountain and it was the same deal, just quieter. I saw vera29's comment and pictured that slow, desperate laptop lap perfectly. It's like bad design turns normal people into weirdly competitive battery hunters. Maybe cafes think we'll talk to each other if they force us into a small space, but really we're just all silently hoping someone's train comes early.
