Why does nobody talk about how much better a monthly Airbnb in Medellin beats hostel hopping
I spent my first 3 months moving every 4 or 5 days, and my work output was terrible because I was always packing or hunting for quiet wifi. Switched to one place in Medellin for $650 a month in Laureles, and suddenly I had a real desk, a kitchen, and a routine that let me bill 25 hours a week instead of 12. The money came out close to even once I added up all the short stays, but the head space was the real difference. Anyone else made the switch from hostels to slow travel, and did you ever go back?
Man, this is spot on. Hostel hopping sounds fun til you're packing your bag every 4 days and getting nothing done. One spot with a real desk wins every time.
