Built a 3 tier corner shelf out of a single $14 pine board and a coffee can
Two Saturdays ago I was staring at a bare corner in my garage shop and decided to just build something with what was already lying around. I ripped one 1x8 pine board from Lowes into three lengths, traced curves with an old coffee can, and cut them with a jigsaw on the driveway because the garage bench was buried. Glued and screwed the tiers to a scrap 2x4 spine, then hit it with two coats of leftover poly from a table job. Took about 90 minutes total and it holds all my clamps plus the nail gun. What is the weirdest thing you have used as a curve template when you couldn't find a compass?

Ha, I saw a guy on YouTube use a paint can lid for the same thing.
