My neighbor watched me hang 11 sheets of drywall alone and said 6 words that stuck with me
Last Saturday I was hauling 12 foot sheets of drywall up a ladder into my garage ceiling by myself because my buddy bailed at 7am, and my neighbor Dave walked over and said "that's a two man job, you know." I told him I'd been at it since 8am and was on my 11th sheet, and he just shrugged and went back to mowing his lawn while I nearly dropped a sheet on my truck. Why do people love pointing out you need help but never actually offer to help?
A guy I know had the same thing happen when he was roofing his shed, and a neighbor yelled "you need a hand?" from across the street but never actually walked over. Some folks just like to hear themselves point out the obvious.
