Overheard a neighbor mention using a laser level for hanging pictures and it clicked for me
Last Saturday I was at the hardware store and heard an older guy telling the clerk how he uses his laser level for everything, not just big jobs. He said he hung a whole gallery wall in 20 minutes with no measuring tape. I've been fighting with a level and pencil marks for two hours on my living room wall trying to line up five frames. So I grabbed a $30 laser level off the shelf and tried it that afternoon. It took me maybe 45 minutes total and every single frame is straight. Has anyone else had a simple tool change how they do a basic project like this?

Ugh, I feel you with the level and pencil marks thing, lol. That gallery wall struggle is so real, I had the same exact problem with three frames and a mirror last month and it took me forever. Seriously, hearing that guy say he did it in 20 minutes with a laser level makes me want to toss my old bubble level in the trash. Good for you for grabbing one and making it work, that 45 minutes sounds like a dream compared to those hours of frustration.

Wait, you actually had to do that with a bubble level before? I used to think lasers were just for contractors and overkill for home stuff, but that story totally changed my mind. Maybe I need to give one a shot after all, your experience is making me reconsider my whole tool setup.
