Tried a $12 foam roller on my cabinet doors and never going back to a brush
I repainted my kitchen cabinets over the weekend and decided to test two ways on the same run of doors. One half got the old brush I have used for 6 years, the other half got a $12 foam roller from the hardware store on 5th Street. The brush side had drips and brush marks I had to sand down twice, while the foam side laid down a smooth coat in one pass. It also soaked up way less paint, maybe 20% less, so my quart lasted almost the whole job. The doors I did with the roller also dried faster since the coat was thinner and more even. Now I want to redo the other side just to match. Has anyone found a foam roller that does not fall apart after one cabinet set?
