Just realized my line weights got way cleaner when I switched from one fat layer to a full layer setup
I used to draw everything on a single layer and just changed colors for line weight, which meant every wall and door swing looked the same thickness. Three weeks ago I set up separate layers for cuts, elevations, and hatching in my template, and suddenly my plans actually read correctly at a glance. Took me about 2 hours to rebuild the template but now I am saving that time back on every sheet. Anyone else build their own layer standard from scratch, and did you base it on AIA or just wing it?
