An old timer's tip about swing speed saved my cutter head
Ran into a retired guy at a parts shop in Baton Rouge last month. He told me I was swinging too fast on hard packed clay, said to let the machine work slower and read the vibration. I figured he was just old school and ignored him. Then I burned through two sets of teeth in a week on the same stretch. Tried his way for a day and the cutter ran smoother, teeth lasted way longer. Anyone else get advice from a stranger that actually worked out better than what you learned on the job?
