Question about that corner bead that popped loose 2 weeks after I hung it
I hung about 40 sheets in a basement in Dayton last month and one corner bead popped loose right at the joint two weeks later. The homeowner was cool about it but I felt like a rookie. Turns out I had put it on too thin and the 90 degree corner had a slight bow I did not catch with my level. I went back and re-set it with a full bed of mud and it has held fine since. Has anyone else had a bead fail that fast, and do you slap a bit more mud on the back side to be safe?
