Customer asked for a 'whisper quiet' ceiling fan, ended up with a disco ball situation
Tbh I swapped out a busted motor in a 1990s fan last Tuesday over in Maplewood and the new one hummed louder than the old one ever did. The homeowner kept saying 'I can hear my own thoughts now, this is worse than my neighbor's leaf blower' while I was still on the ladder. Has anyone else dealt with a factory defect where the balancing weights rattle loose inside the housing, or did I just get the one bad egg from the batch?

Did you check if the weights were bent during shipping?
