Ditched the multimeter for a thermal cam on board repairs

For years I traced shorts with a meter, poking every capacitor until I wanted to throw it across the shop. Last month a buddy loaned me his Flir one for an iPhone, and I found a dead MOSFET in about 90 seconds by spotting the hot spot. It felt like cheating at first, but now I won't start a board diagnosis without it. Anyone else made the jump, or still think thermal imaging is overkill for small jobs?

Same here, now it's the first tool I grab. Total game changer.
