Dropped $1,400 on a used Otis 411 controller board that was fried, don't make my mistake
Honestly I got burned bad buying a "tested and working" relay board off a guy in Jersey City back in March for my 411 unit. Hooked it up, cycled the car twice, and it smoked a resistor right in front of me. Seller ghosted me and I ate the whole $1,400 plus another $600 for a rebuilt one from a shop I actually trust. If you're sourcing boards outside a dealer or a shop with a warranty, make them send a video of it running in a car first. What's your rule for buying used parts, do you even bother anymore?
