Took me 4 months to nail a simple follow-up sequence for silent prospects

I kept sending the same 'just checking in' note and getting zero replies, so I finally tracked open rates and noticed the 11am Tuesday sends did way better than my random Friday ones. After 4 months of tweaking subject lines and spacing, I got a 3-word reply from someone who'd ignored me since March. Anyone else find that silence means they're just swamped, not uninterested?

honestly the timing thing is way bigger than people give it credit for. I read somewhere that most folks check email in those little dead zones between meetings or right after lunch, so an 11am send hits when theyre already in the mode of clearing stuff out. And yeah I think silence from a prospect usually means theyre drowning in their own pile of crap, not that they hate you. If they hated you theyd just unsubscribe or mark spam. The hard part is figuring out when to keep poking vs when to back off for good, I still havent nailed that balance myself. Your 3 word reply is basically a win in my book, that means you cracked the code on getting past the noise.
