Found a pattern trick that fixed my pleats after 6 ruined skirts
Last month I kept fighting with pleats on a wool skirt, they would never hang right no matter how much I pressed them. Then a tailor in Portland told me to iron the pleats while the fabric is still slightly damp and then pin them overnight. I tried it on a $12 thrift store skirt and the pleats came out razor sharp the next morning. Has anyone else tried the damp pin method or do you all use something else?

Damp pinning just makes the wool stretch weird and leaves water marks, dry ironing works way better.
