My latest kimchi ferment started bubbling after just one day

So I made some kimchi yesterday, and now it's bubbling like crazy in the jar. I heard if it gets too warm, it ferments too fast and tastes off. Any tips for cooling things down without messing it up?

I stuck mine in the fridge for a night and it calmed down.

Shanes66, using the fridge for that seems too extreme. A lot of times just leaving it alone for a bit works fine. I doubt the situation was that critical.

Try the fridge if leaving it alone fails.
