I thought the down payment assistance thing was a scam, and then a $7,500 check actually showed up
My lender in Columbus kept pushing this state program and I figured it was just a way to lock me into a worse loan. Turns out it covered my closing costs outright and the rate was the same one I got quoted everywhere else. Has anyone actually had a bad run with one of these, or is my guard just up too high?
