Two mortgage brokers, one was 0.5% lower and I almost missed it
I got quotes from a local broker in Sacramento and one of those online lenders, and the online one came in at 6.1% while the guy down the street was at 6.6%. I almost went with the local one since everyone says to use a real person, but then I asked him to match and he dropped to 6.15% in one phone call. The difference is about $95 a month, which adds up to real money over 30 years. Did anyone else have luck getting a broker to match a lower quote, or did it backfire on you?
