Update: dropped $475 on a home inspection that missed a cracked sewer line
We closed on our first place in Spokane back in March and the inspector we hired for $475 never ran a camera down the sewer. Two months in, the basement started backing up and the plumber quoted us $6,800 to dig up and replace the line. Turns out the crack was old and any decent scope job would have caught it before we signed. Has anyone had luck getting an inspector to cover something like this, or is that money just gone?
