A guy in a Fiverr Facebook group swore by setting buyer requests to $5 minimum, cost me 3 months of work
Back in January a guy named Dave in a Fiverr Facebook group said to set my buyer request minimum at $5 so I'd get volume and rank higher. I tried it for 3 months and got 47 requests, but 41 of them were people wanting full websites for $10. I made $180 total and lost sleep over cheap clients who left 4 star reviews. Meanwhile my Upwork profile with a $25 minimum sat dead because I stopped sending proposals. Dave's advice might work for logo gigs but it wrecked my web dev business. Has anyone else gotten burned by cheap pricing advice from these groups?
