I stopped bidding on jobs under $50 on both sites and my weekly take went up $220
For about 3 months I was taking every $20 to $40 gig that came through, thinking volume would add up, and I was pulling 50 hour weeks for maybe $600. Two weeks ago I put my minimum at $50 on Fiverr and stopped sending proposals under $75 on Upwork, and I made $820 in 5 days with way less stress. The weird part is I have fewer orders but the buyers at that price point leave better reviews and do not message me at 2am about a $15 revision. Some folks would say low priced gigs build your profile faster, but my profile was buried either way. Curious if anyone else tried raising their floor and how long it took before the cheap orders stopped feeling like a loss.

Six months ago I would've told you the cheap gigs were worth it for the review count, and I ate those words hard. My first month after raising my floor to $50 I panicked at the empty queue, but the buyers who stuck around actually answered messages and paid on time. Took about a month for the quiet to stop bugging me and start feeling like free time.
