Shoutout to the guy in the Fiverr forum who showed me why my $75 gigs were the problem
I always thought Upwork was the better site and Fiverr was just for cheap logo swaps. Been on both for about 2 years now. Last week I posted a rant on a forum thread about how Fiverr buyers never pay over $50. A guy named Darnell replied and asked to see my gig descriptions. He looked at all three of them and pointed out something I never noticed. Every package capped out at $75 with the same 2 day turnaround. So I was basically advertising myself as the cheap option. He gave me the exact rewording he used on his own gig, which starts at $250 now. I changed mine on Wednesday and got a $400 order by Friday. Has anyone else had a total stranger on a forum fix their pricing just by reading their profile?
That Darnell guy basically did what a good barber does when you've been getting the same haircut since 2015. Sometimes you can't see your own thing clearly until someone from the outside takes one look. Same deal with pricing, you set it once and forget it's even a choice.
