Just hit 300 orders for a single type of funeral arrangement this year and it's changed my whole view.

It's our 'White Serenity' casket spray, and hitting that number in Spokane by October made me realize we've been playing it too safe with other designs. People clearly want something classic and clean, not the overly trendy stuff we push in the shop. Has anyone else seen one basic design completely outsell everything else?

Wow, that's a wild number for one design. Read an article a while back about how during big, sad events, people really cling to simple and familiar things. Makes sense they'd pick the classic white flowers every time. You might be onto something about ditching the fussy trends.

That article sounds like it's making a mountain out of a molehill.

Yeah, ditching the fussy trends is the way to go. I stuck with simple white roses for a big event last year and people loved the calm feeling it gave. What kind of flowers do you usually lean towards?
