The heat in our casting area ruins my lunch, any tips for heat-resistant meals?

Dealing with that kind of heat is brutal, I used to work in a garage where my lunch would get steamed all morning. What saved me was packing things that actually taste better warm, like @tessaw96 said about chili in a thermos. I stuck with a really good vacuum flask for soups or pasta dishes that hold up to extra heat. Skipping mayo or dairy helped too, since those just turn nasty after a few hours. Even freezing a water bottle overnight kept my bag cooler so things didn't get totally cooked again. It's mostly about accepting the heat and choosing foods that won't mind it.

In my last job at a warehouse, temps hit over 100 degrees regularly. I found that giving in and packing only hot foods felt like losing a battle. A heavy duty cooler bag with frozen gel packs let me bring whatever I wanted, cold stuff stayed cold. That meant I could still enjoy yogurt or chicken salad without worrying about spoilage. Putting in a little extra effort with cooling gear beats changing your whole diet for the heat.

Heat-resistant meals" sounds like something you'd pack for a trip to the sun. You might have to accept that anything you bring is just gonna get cooked a second time, maybe even a third. I'd say just embrace the hot lunch life and bring stuff that's meant to be served warm, like a thermos of chili. Or start eating cold beans straight from the can like a true champ.
