I think relying on caffeine instead of sleep on night shifts is risky.

You need real rest to handle big equipment safely.

Yeah that legal side @the_anthony mentioned is real too. Companies can get huge fines if an accident happens from tired workers. Honestly, a 20 min nap beats any energy drink.

Man, this is so true. My buddy Dave worked the overnight warehouse shift. He'd drink those big energy drinks all night instead of resting before his shift. One morning around 4 AM, he dozed off for just a second while moving a pallet with the forklift. He nearly backed it right into a giant rack of parts. Scared him straight. He admitted the caffeine just made him jittery but his brain was still totally gone. It was a really close call.

Used to believe caffeine could push through any tiredness. Stories like your buddy's show it just puts a shaky shell over a broken system. Real rest can't be faked.

Yeah that "close call" part is scary stuff. Caffeine jitters without real rest is such a bad mix.
