Bought a $200 AI scheduling tool and it lost me a retainer client in 2 weeks
I paid $200 for this scheduling platform that was supposed to automate my client bookings. It double-booked me twice and sent the wrong meeting links to a retainer client. They got pissed and dropped our monthly $1500 contract on the spot. Now I'm back to using a free Google Calendar setup and a simple email confirmation. The tool itself wasn't broken, but the automation saved me zero time and cost me real money. Has anyone else had a flashy tool actually make your workflow worse?

My buddy @ross.kim actually had a $30 plugin wipe his whole client database once. $200 is a bad month, but losing everything just made him laugh at how dumb we all get with shiny software.

Oh man. I gotta say, $200 for a scheduler that can't even keep a calendar straight feels like a scam even if it's not technically broken. The real problem was probably that it focused on looking fancy instead of just doing the basic job right. It's funny how often the simple stuff like a shared Google Calendar and a plain email template works better for small operations. Maybe the lesson is that most of us don't need AI for scheduling, we just need reminders and a backup plan for when tech fails.
