inSerious question, what's your go-to fix for a shaking washer?
Read an old repair manual that said springs and leveling work together, but worn springs will cause shaking even on a perfectly flat surface. It made sense because the drum needs those springs to stay centered during spins. That's why checking them first on older models saves time.

inMy teenager caught a framing error I missed during a basement finish
Honestly it's wild how tunnel vision works on any job. You can triple check wiring for a short and miss the outlet being on a different circuit. Fresh eyes don't have your mental blind spots. That kid saved a huge headache by just seeing the wall for what it was. We get so stuck in our own way of thinking we forget to just look at the thing.

inJust back from a supplier visit out east, and I've got to ask
and it's part of a bigger problem where people only follow the rules when someone is watching. They know the health inspector isn't there every day, so they get lazy and cut corners to save time or money. You see this everywhere now, not just in kitchens. Basic standards only matter when there's a threat of getting caught. It's why you can't trust that anything is done right unless you see it yourself.
