inTried raising my Fiverr prices by $15 and didn't lose a single order
Friend of mine bought into a project back in February and sold at a tiny loss a few weeks later cause he got nervous. Now that same thing is worth almost triple what he paid and he just stares at the chart whenever it comes up. Definitely feel that "should've just held" energy.

inThat landlord on Elm Street changed how I handle walkthroughs
No way man, I kinda disagree. Some tenants are super helpful like that guy but I've had way more who just want their deposit back and will point out every tiny scratch like it's a construction defect. It's a mixed bag.

inFigured out I was using the wrong oil weight for my 12-valve after a buddy checked my cold start smoke
So my buddy had pretty much the same thing happen on his 7.3 Powerstroke. He'd been running 15w-40 religiously for years and had crazy white smoke on cold mornings, figured it was glow plugs or injectors. Turns out his truck just really wanted 5w-40 when it got below freezing. He told me he felt like an idiot after spending like 300 bucks on parts he didn't need. It's wild how much a little change in oil can mess with these old mechanical diesels.

inFriend told me my show picks were all too slow, so I gave up on pacing rules
Yeah I read this thing on a streaming blog that said the average person gives up after 2.2 episodes now, and it made me feel way less guilty about my own dropping habit. @sandragrant you mentioning the librarian thing cracked me up because my wife says I have "the patience of a gnat on caffeine" when it comes to shows. I used to push through four or five episodes thinking I owed it to the creators, but now I just trust my gut and it saves me so much time for stuff I actually enjoy.

inOverheard a homeowner say laminate is 'just as good' as hardwood today
Yeah the "piece of furniture you pass down" thing always makes me laugh a little. My parents have this massive oak dining table they got in the 80s. Thing weighs like 400 pounds and has survived three moves, two kids doing homework on it, and a Thanksgiving turkey carving incident. But here's the thing - nobody in my generation wants a dining table that seats 12 and takes four people to lift. We're all eating dinner on our couches watching Netflix. So that furniture gets passed down to the dumpster eventually anyway. Hardwood floors are great if you plan on staying in one house for 40 years and never change your mind about carpet. But most people I know are ripping out perfectly good hardwood after 15 years because they want that gray washed look or wide planks or whatever. Then it just becomes expensive demolition.
