inThat old timer's rod trick for serrated blades worked a charm
@hill.susan, I totally agreed with you until I ruined a decent blade with a pull-through. Forced myself to learn the tooth-by-tooth method and it clicked. Sure, it's tedious, but the angle becomes muscle memory after a few tries. The real difference is how long a proper sharpening lasts compared to that quick fix. I get a cleaner cut and way more time between touch-ups. Honestly, it turned a chore into something that feels right.

inTIL a simple focus trick for cleaner hand saw cuts
Man, I totally get where you're coming from. I used to death-grip my drill thinking more force meant straighter holes. Then one day I actually focused on my breathing while working, and my lines got way cleaner. Turns out my hands were shaking from holding my breath without even noticing. Now I catch myself doing it all the time with a soldering iron too. That little trick of just breathing smooth makes a huge difference.

inWarning: Estheticians who don't change gloves between clients are putting health at risk.
That germ party turns into a buffet real quick. All that nasty stuff from one client's skin just gets smeared right onto the next person. It's basic cross-contamination, and a fancy spa towel doesn't make it okay.

inShort pitch emails get more replies than long ones
A full story can work, but in my experience long emails just get skipped. People trust clear and useful info, not a lot of words.

inShed lights kept dimming, learned a big lesson about wire size.
I used 16 gauge wire for about 80 feet to my shed lights last year. Calling it a big lesson feels like an overreaction to me. Voltage drop is a basic thing with long wires, but shed lights usually don't draw much power. If you were running a heater or big tools, I'd get it, but for a couple of bulbs? Check if you have LED or old bulbs because they handle voltage differently. So wire size can matter, but it's often not a critical issue for simple lighting.
