Question whether it's really that serious. I mean 3 hours a day sounds like a whole lot of nothing getting done. Maybe you just needed better noise cancelling headphones and a locked door.

Honestly @iris_barnes87, did you try to return it? I had the same thing happen with a cheap crimper from a hardware store, ended up just throwing it in the trash too because the return process was more hassle than it was worth.
