inMy neighbor said 'good coffee is just hot bean water' and I can't stop thinking about it
My buddy got a fancy espresso machine last year. He started timing his shots, weighing the grounds, the whole deal. His wife called it his "science project." One morning it broke down and he had to use a cheap drip pot. He said the coffee was fine, maybe even good. It messed with his head for a week. He still uses the machine, but he laughs about it now.

It's interesting how those moments work. The best help often comes from someone outside your field who asks basic questions you've stopped asking yourself. They aren't trying to fix it, they're just curious, and that curiosity can reset your whole view. That's why I keep going to those things even when I'm busy.

inMy main client's payment portal went down the day before my mortgage was due
The Freelancers Union blog had a piece about payment tech fails, and they said 30% of contractors get hit by this. A separate account just for delays is the move.

inJust read that the original bullet journal method only needs two pages to start
You're right about keeping it simple. The fancy stuff just adds steps, and steps are where habits die. @kim_mason55 hit on the real problem: people burn out on upkeep, not the actual task. It's about making the system invisible so you just do the thing without thinking. That's the only way it sticks for years.
