DAE remember when finding local freelance work meant actual paper flyers at coffee shops?
I was cleaning out my garage last month and found a folder of old flyers I made back in 2015 to hand out around Nob Hill and downtown. I had 200 of them printed at a copy shop on Central for about $40 and got maybe 6 calls from them over three months. Now I get 4 or 5 leads a week just from my Google profile and a couple local Facebook groups, no printing needed. It blows my mind that the whole game shifted that fast, and honestly I miss running into other freelancers at Flying Star and just talking shop face to face. Half the people I used to swap referrals with moved away or quit during 2020. Anyone else here still keep an actual paper flyer going, or did we all just give up on that years ago?
