A regex trick in a $20 text editor saved me 6 hours of renaming files
I had about 1,800 photo files from a shoot in Denver last week and they all had the wrong date stamp in the name. I opened Notepad++ and used find and replace with \d{4} to swap just the year part, and it took me 10 minutes after 3 hours of doing it by hand. Does anyone have a go-to pattern like that for bulk renaming or cleaning up messy data?
