Pro tip: Don't waste $40 on those pre-seasoned air fryer fries packs
Honestly, I bought a big bag of those Ore-Ida frozen fries labeled for air fryers last week, and they were $6.99 for like 2 servings. I could have just used a $2 bag of generic russet potato wedges and tossed them with oil and salt. Has anyone else found a cheap shortcut that beats the fancy stuff?

Did you shake the soggy ones off in the basket?

Whoa, hold on, I'm gonna push back hard on this one. I actually think those pre-seasoned air fryer bags are a total lifesaver for lazy nights (and let's be real, that's most nights for me). The thing is, the coating they use is way more than just salt and oil - it's got some kind of fine starch or something that makes them come out super crispy without any extra work. I tried the "cheap bag of wedges tossed in oil" method and they came out soggy and uneven, plus I had to clean a greasy bowl. For me, the $7 bag saves me from a ruined dinner and the cleanup hassle, especially when I'm tired and just want something decent fast.
