Had a lightbulb moment watching a baggage handler at LAX last Thursday

I was waiting on a gate agent to clear a maintenance log, and I watched this guy loading bags for like 20 minutes. He had this rhythm where he'd check each latch on the cargo door without even looking, just muscle memory. Made me realize I've been skipping the little steps on my preflight walkarounds, like not actually touching the cowl fasteners to verify they're secure. Now I make myself physically check every single one, not just glance at it. Anyone else have a moment where watching someone else's routine made you tighten up your own?

Did you notice if he had any shortcuts for staying focused when the same moves go on for hours? @rowanw91 might not need that kind of jolt but I bet most of us do.

Nah, not buying it. Plenty of folks thrive without that kind of jolt.
