Saw a new mechanic rush through seal inspections

In my experience, this can cause leaks later. Your mileage may vary, but it's a safety risk. Always double check your steps.

Ugh, that reminds me of a neighbor's boat trailer. They had a wheel seal fail on the highway because someone rushed the job. Now there's a permanent oil stain on their driveway.

That exact thing happened to a friend's camper last year. The seal blew out near exit 42 on I-95, and they had to replace the whole axle. Seals seem small, but if you skip the proper steps, they fail fast. Now his driveway looks like a crime scene for oil spills. Some people treat maintenance like it's optional, until it isn't. Rushing saves five minutes but costs hundreds in repairs and a forever stain.

Cheap now, expensive later. Those oil stains never come out either.

That permanent stain @tara_martin mentioned is exactly why rushing is so foolish.
