That damn bleed screw on the 737 took me 4 hours to locate Tuesday

Everyone always says to check the obvious stuff first but nobody mentioned it was hiding behind a perfectly placed wire bundle. Has anyone else found a part that was just tucked away in a ridiculous spot for no reason?

Found that little drain valve behind the landing gear once... took forever.

Hold on a second @fionat55, I think that's actually the fuel drain valve you're talking about. The drain valve behind the landing gear is for the hydraulic fluid, not the fuel system. I remember confusing the two on my Cessna 172 once and spent an hour draining the wrong thing before a mechanic set me straight.

lol right? i swear these engineers hide stuff on purpose just to mess with us. spent 20 mins the other day looking for a bolt that was literally just sitting behind a zip tie they couldve moved 2 inches.
