I used to think wireless sensors were a waste of time, but a job in a 1920s brick house changed my mind.

The owner wanted zero new holes in the plaster, so I used a full wireless kit. After three years, the system is still solid with zero false alarms, which I never saw with the older tech. Has anyone else had a wireless setup hold up that long in a tricky old building?

Three years is awesome! My old wireless gear would've given up and started crying by now. Guess the tech finally caught up with our weird old houses.

Totally get what you mean, cora813. My old router used to drop signal every time the fridge kicked on, it was so bad lol. Upgrading to a mesh system was a game changer for my plaster walls. You're right, the new stuff just handles interference way better. I finally get wifi in the backyard now.

Seriously? @cora813, three years is just beginner's luck.
