Question about the 2019 code change that made me redo 14 panel labels
I was reading through the NFPA 72 handbook last month and found out that since the 2019 edition, if a panel has a history of false alarms, the installer has to keep a written record of the cause and fix for each event. I had no idea that was in there. On a 32 zone job in Mesa last spring, the homeowner asked me to show him the log, and I had nothing because I never kept one. I had to go back 4 times to document old events from memory, which was a total mess. Now I tape a small log sheet inside every can. Does anyone else keep a paper log, or are you all using an app for this?

Skip the app, paper log works fine.
