PSA: I watched 12 episodes of a show on 2x speed and missed a whole plot twist
Last month I got into a habit of watching anime at 2x speed because my watchlist had grown to 47 shows. I figured I could catch up faster and still enjoy everything. I binged a mystery series in two days and felt pretty proud of myself. Then my friend asked me about the big reveal in episode 9 and I had no idea what she was talking about. Turns out a key detail was hidden in the background of a slow scene that I had sped right past. I went back and watched it at normal speed and realized I had missed three other small clues too. Now I only speed up filler episodes and give story episodes my full attention. Does anyone else have a speed they stick to, or do you just watch everything at 1x no matter what?
