DAE remember the week last October when three separate Roman digs hit the news at once?
I was home sick with a cold that Tuesday and ended up reading about a mosaic floor found under a vineyard near Verona, a bronze hand pulled out of a well in Spain, and a whole street of Pompeii houses opening to the public, all within about four days of each other. Normally I go weeks without anything good to read, so that stretch felt like a gift, sitting there with tea and too many tabs open. Curious if that was just luck or if fall really is dig season for a reason?
