Watched a grad student at a dig near Abilene label 40 bagged samples in one afternoon, and it made me realize how slow I am
I spent last Saturday volunteering at a site near Abilene and this grad student named Priya was labeling and bagging artifacts like a machine. She got through 40 sample bags before lunch while I was still fussing over one broken point and double checking my notes. I know it's not a race but standing there with my one little bag while she had a whole tray done kind of stung. Does anyone have a system for labeling in the field that doesn't slow you down?
