I finally stopped using a QR code menu at my diner after the printer died on a Saturday
I used to think paper menus were a waste and pushed everyone to scan the code, but then the receipt printer quit at 7am on a Saturday at my place on 5th Street and half the tables just sat there staring at dead screens. I dug out a stack of old laminated menus from the closet and people actually ordered faster and asked more questions about the specials. Now I print fresh ones every week, costs me about $12, and the older regulars thank me almost every day. Anyone else go back to something old school after a tech thing broke at the worst time?
