Why I didn't report a neighbor's package mix-up

Most people insist you must always notify others of delivery errors, but I think it's fine if no harm is done. My neighbor got my small parcel once, and I just let it go since it was a cheap item.

But that small hassle for you could be a huge problem for them... it's just about doing the right thing.

Ever think this attitude is why delivery problems keep getting worse lol. That ten dollar cable could be someone's last one before an important trip. It's not about the price tag, it's about basic neighborly respect.

Totally get where you're coming from. Had a similar thing happen when a neighbor's phone charger got left in my mailbox. It was just a basic cable, probably cost ten bucks. Didn't make a fuss or go knocking on doors. If it was something important or expensive, sure, that's different. But for small stuff, sometimes the hassle of dealing with it is worse than just letting it go. People make way too big a deal out of minor mix-ups.
