Appreciation post: the guy running the Friday night chess tables at the Atlanta library branch
I went to the Cascade branch just to kill an hour, and a retiree named Mr. Gibbs let me sit in on a game with a loose 10 minute clock. Watching him call out moves to a crowded room of 30 people got me showing up every Friday since, and I even started a group chat for our table. Does anybody know of other free spots like this around the city?
