Can we talk about that one Tuesday that just worked?

i mean it's just a tuesday though right? like you had one decent day in a week that otherwise sounded pretty average or even bad. i don't get why we're acting like it's some cosmic alignment. you got paid and had internet not crash that's like... the bare minimum for running a business?

Traded my gas mower for an electric reel mower and my lawn actually looks better after 3 cuts.

Wait, your neighbor actually noticed? That's wild. I think people underestimate how clean reel mowers cut compared to gas rotary blades. The scissor action doesn't tear the grass tips, so it stays greener and doesn't brown at the edges. Plus no gas smell or noise means you can mow whenever you want without being that annoying neighbor. I switched to electric string trimmer for the edges and it pairs perfectly.

Why does nobody talk about the "check arrived but it bounced" loophole

Honestly I wouldnt even worry about it yet. Banks are weird about pending charges and half the time that stuff just falls off.

Hit $250k in home equity after 5 years and it still feels like a glitch in the system

The whole housing market feels like one big lottery ticket right now. Paint jobs and light fixtures shouldn't be worth that much, but here we are with everyone's equity jumping like crazy. My coworker bought in Phoenix around the same time and her house did almost the same thing with zero upgrades. It's like the system just decided to hand out free money to anyone who already owned something, which is wild when you think about how hard it is for first-time buyers right now.

I finally had to walk away from a contract over the indemnification clause

Honest question" huh? Yeah, I guess if you wanna play russian roulette with your savings account, go for it. But that "standard legal boilerplate" is basically a landmine with a nice bow on it. You sign it thinking it's nothing, then bam, you're in court and the other side's lawyer is reading it out loud like it's the constitution. And sure, losing 10 grand stings, but it stings a whole lot less than explaining to your spouse why the lawyer gets the new couch money instead of them. I'd rather pay to walk away than pay to keep fighting a dumb clause I barely read.
