inOld timer told me to stop using safety wire pliers for small stuff, I didn't listen for 2 years and finally tried it his way on a 737 brake assembly last week
Yeah hand twisting really shines in those cramped spots. Pliers just get clumsy when you got no room.

inI finally figured out why that one client kept asking for changes on a finished logo
I heard a story from another designer on a podcast who said clients like this usually have a psychological block about paying the final invoice. They start nitpicking because it feels like arguing about design instead of admitting they don't want to hand over the money. Eight revisions after approval is insane though, you have way more patience than me. I started putting a clause in my contracts that says final files release after full payment, and any edits after approval cost extra per round. That stopped the stalling real quick for me.

inHit my 50th freelance contract review today, didn't even realize I kept count
I hear you tessalane, but I gotta say I see it a bit differently. I've watched too many folks in my networking group burn themselves out chasing those quick wins and then wondering why they can't scale up. A 30 minute trademark filing pays the bills, sure, but it doesn't teach you how to handle a real corporate client who needs you to sit through a 4 hour meeting about their trademark portfolio. Those small jobs build a good reputation but they build bad habits if you're not careful. People start thinking their law practice is just about turning out quick forms and miss out on the deeper strategy work that actually pays the big money. You end up stuck in the same loop, always chasing the next easy dollar, never building the kind of business that runs without you doing every little thing.

inI had to choose between a fixer-upper and a move-in ready. I went with the fixer-upper and here's what happened 6 months later.
Laughing at the 90% thing because I'm pretty sure whoever wrote that lived through the exact same six months you did. My fixer-upper had a pipe burst behind a wall I'd just finished patching. $3k and four weekends later I finally got heat back in the guest room. Yeah, my weekends are a memory too but at least the house is worth something now.

inWent from printing contracts on fancy paper to using a phone app after a coffee stain disaster
Misread that one though, server crash can wipe digital files too.
