I thought watching tutorials all day was learning, until a guy at the Sacramento library said one thing to me
I used to spend 4 hours a night watching Python videos and felt like I was getting somewhere. Then last month at the Tsakopoulos Library in Sacramento, this guy named Dan saw my screen and said "you haven't typed anything in 20 minutes." He was right. I switched to writing broken code first and googling when I got stuck, and I learned more in 2 weeks than in 3 months of watching. How do you all balance watching vs actually typing when you're starting out?
