Deposit upfront vs net 30, I learned the hard way in Austin
Did a $2,800 branding gig for a coffee shop in Austin, net 30 terms, they vanished after I sent the files. Next job I asked for 50% upfront, and the client actually respected it more, paid the rest on delivery. It filters out the tire kickers instantly, and you don't end up chasing someone for 6 weeks over rent money. Anyone else switched to upfront deposits after getting burned once, or do you still trust net terms?
