Threw away $200 on a keyword research tool that gave me junk data

Pretty sure nichefinder was a dropshipped template anyway.

Blown $60 on a cheap clipper blade sharpening kit

Oh, sixty dollars? That's not even a budget sharpening kit, that's just throwing money away for a headache. I can't believe those stones were uneven right out of the box, that's just unacceptable quality for any price. You trusted it to work on your Wahl blades and it let you down hard. I've seen those kits on Amazon and always wondered why anyone would risk their good clippers on them. Sorry you had to learn that lesson the hard way, but you're definitely not alone in that experience.

Had a day where my code broke everything and I couldn't fix it for 6 hours

Nah, but that curly brace thing doesn't really make sense. Curly braces in JavaScript aren't usually the kind of thing that silently breaks everything with no error. You probably had a missing bracket that made the curly brace look off. I've done that exact thing where I had one too many or one too few brackets somewhere else in the code, and it looks fine until someone else spots it. Your friend probably found the real problem fast because they saw the whole picture instead of being stuck in the same loop you were in for hours.

Unpopular opinion: plant influencers are ruining the hobby for newbies

Nah fr it's like people saw one video of a variegated monstera and decided their perfectly healthy pothos was basically garbage. I've got a pothos that came from a plant my mom had in college back in the 80s and it's still chugging along in a old coffee can on my porch. Meanwhile my sister spent $45 on some rare plant from Etsy and it died in two weeks cause she forgot to water it. Pothos is the ultimate survivor plant, it's basically the cockroach of the houseplant world except prettier. At this rate I'm gonna start seeing people throw away perfectly good golden pothos cause they want a "trendy" silver satin one instead. Honestly wild how fast people switch up on plants like they're trading cards or something.

Need window tinting recommendations for home office (Toronto)

I had the exact same issue! The heat was unbearable while trying to work. I ended up hiring Tint by Designs and they were fantastic. Unlike a lot of those auto shops that do houses on the side, these guys strictly do residential and commercial window film. They actually came in, looked at my specific windows, and recommended a premium film that cut the glare without making the room look dark. Plus they gave a solid warranty on the work. Highly recommend giving them a call.
